NISBET OF KIRKABISTER

PETER NISBET of Kirkabister, in the parish of North Yell, died on 1st August 1603.
From the Shynd Bill of the lands, goods, gear, &c., of umquhile Peter Nisbet of Kirkabister, made at the Netherhouse of Kirkabister in North Yell, 10th October 1605, by John Laurenson, bailie of Yell, by precept by a noble and potent lord Patrick, Earl of Orkney, and Andrew Edmestoun, minister of Yell, Olave Sutherland, bailie of Fetlar, William Magnusson of Gardie, James Olaveson, lawrightman of Yell, William Spence of Holland, James Spence of Midbrake, James Sutherland, son of the said Olave, and others, we learn that he had been three times married.
By Catherine Tulloch, his first wife, he had issue:

  3. Clara, married Gilbert Scott
  4. Janet
By Catherine Spence, his second spouse, he had issue:
  1. William
  2. Gilbert, married Ingagirth Sinclair
  3. John
  4. Marion
And by Breta Sinclair, his third wife,
  1. Daniel, portioner of Sellafirth
  2. Samuel
  3. Catherine
  4. Ursula
  5. Grissel, died May 1606
  6. Agnes, married David Spence of Midbrake family
